The Learning Cabinet — an initiative led by UNICEF together with partners including the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Finland’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and ARM — is introducing a new data collaboration with EdTech Impact. The collaboration aims to strengthen the real-world use and impact of EdTech solutions within the Learning Cabinet.

Through this collaboration, authentic teacher feedback and impact data from EdTech Impact will be integrated into Learning Cabinet product profiles, bringing real, first-hand classroom experiences to complement existing evaluation data.

What this collaboration means

Learning Cabinet listings are based on rigorous evaluations conducted through the EdTech for Good framework, assessing solutions across key dimensions such as safety, impact, inclusivity, and scalability. This evaluation remains the foundation of Learning Cabinet product profiles.

The integration of aggregated teacher feedback data provides an additional, practice-based perspective, helping users better understand how solutions are experienced in real classroom environments alongside their intended design and evidence base.

The new collaboration is enabled through API integration, allowing relevant product-level data to be synchronized with the Learning Cabinet on a regular basis so that insights remain up to date.

How it works

The teacher feedback data integrated into the Learning Cabinet is sourced from EdTech Impact, an independent platform that collects structured feedback from educators and education professionals on the EdTech tools they use in practice. This data provides aggregated insights on usability, implementation, and classroom experience.

The integration of this data supports the Learning Cabinet’s broader goal of strengthening the evidence ecosystem around EdTech by bringing together different types of evidence, including structured evaluations, implementation insights, and user feedback, in one place.

What this means for EdTech providers

For providers listed in the Learning Cabinet, this collaboration enhances how their impact can be used by teachers in real-life scenarios.

Teacher feedback collected through EdTech Impact will now be visible directly on Learning Cabinet product pages, helping providers to:

  • Showcase authentic user experiences
  • Strengthen their evidence base with real-world data
  • Build credibility with decision-makers
  • Take a teacher-centric approach toward responsible EdTech deployment in the classroom

Many Learning Cabinet-listed solutions are already collecting feedback through EdTech Impact, and this integration ensures that existing insights become part of a more unified and visible evidence ecosystem.

Looking ahead

This collaboration is part of the Learning Cabinet’s broader effort to improve how evidence and impact data are shared, connected and used across the EdTech ecosystem. The Learning Cabinet will continue to explore similar data collaborations and integrations that help improve transparency, strengthen evidence, and support more informed decision-making by governments, education systems, and partners.

By connecting different sources of evidence and classroom experience, the Learning Cabinet aims to contribute to a more coherent, inclusive, and transparent global EdTech evidence ecosystem.
