Information about curriculum

Five Pillars of Reading: The lessons are built around the five essential components of reading: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, and fluency.

Sequenced, Builds on Previous Lessons: Each lesson builds on the skills learned in the previous one, progressing through the levels to develop foundational reading skills.

Placement Test: A placement test ensures students start at the appropriate level for their ability, providing a personalized learning path.

Interactive and Engaging: The program uses educational videos, games, and activities to motivate and engage young learners.

Pedagogical design

Reading Eggs' pedagogical design is explicit and systematic instruction across the five essential pillars of literacy: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. The program uses interactive animations to introduce concepts, followed by structured, engaging activities and decodable readers for practice, all delivered through a research-based, sequential learning framework. Motivational elements also contribute to the design, ensuring children learn in a safe, fun, and effective online environment.
